Faculty and Staff

(She/Her) Laura is thrilled to be teaching drama to 2nd-5th graders at Two Rivers! She is a DMV native, born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. She received her BFA in theatre from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and her Master’s in Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University through the Urban Teachers program. She is certified in both Elementary Education and Special Education. She started in education as a teaching artist at Adventure Theatre MTC’s musical theater camp. She then moved into special education, while simultaneously continuing to teach theater at Imagination Stage. She also has experience in dance, music, costume design, and technical theater. When she is not teaching, Laura enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew, and playing with her cats Mint and Basil.
