Tameka Faison
(She/Her) Ms. Tameka is a native Washingtonian who was educated in the DC public school system. She was the first graduate of Duke Ellington’s Museum Studies Department. Tameka holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Human Resource Management.
She brings a wealth of operational experience to Two Rivers, having worked in both schools and education-focused nonprofits. Tameka spent over eight years at Higher Achievement’s DC and National offices and has also worked at Lafayette Elementary School and The New School for Enterprise and Development Public Charter School.
Tameka is deeply passionate about bridging the gap between schools and the communities they serve, and this passion drives much of her work in education.
She is also a proud Two Rivers aunt of current students—and both an aunt and mom of Two Rivers alums.
