(She/Her) Meet Tonica Tatum-Gormes, a passionate and experienced educator with teaching and leadership experience. As a dedicated math teacher and mentor, she brings a deep commitment to empowering students—especially young Black and Brown girls—to believe in their brilliance and reach their full potential. Tonica holds a B.S. in Mathematics, an M.A. in Teacher Leadership, and an Instructional Leadership Certificate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is certified in Secondary Mathematics and Special Education and has over 15 years experience in the classroom. Tonica believes in the power of collaboration, culturally responsive teaching, and building strong relationships with students and colleagues. She’s excited to join the Two Rivers team and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture where every student can thrive.
