3G Lead Teacher | 4th Street ES

(She/Her) Tess grew up in Massachusetts, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Child Study and Human Development from Tufts University and her Master’s in Elementary Education from Lesley University. She is also a graduate of Shady Hill’s Teacher Training Course and an alum of the Klingenstein Institute for Early Career Teachers. She has worked with children in a variety of settings, from Boston Public Schools to the Ahi International School of Denmark, and – after relocating to DC five years ago – at a Quaker school in College Park, MD. Tess has a passion for whole-child learning and is excited by opportunities to design engaging projects for her students. She is thrilled to be a part of the Two Rivers community! After school, Tess can be found running in Rock Creek Park, digging through the stacks of DC’s wonderful public libraries, drinking quite a lot of tea, and asking to pet strangers’ dogs.
