Suzanne Katz

Bringing 25 years of arts education experience with her, Suzanne Katz is excited to begin a new year’s journey with the students, families, faculty, and staff at Two Rivers PCS. Suzanne holds an A.B. in both Music and Education and Child Studies from Smith College in Massachusetts, an M.A. in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, and an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada. Suzanne is a licensed elementary educator, has served as a middle school theatre teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada; a Professor of Educational Studies and Department Chair at Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin; and the Director of the Professional Development Academy at Center for Inspired Teaching in Washington, D.C,. as well as directing educational theater productions for Harand Camp for the Theatre Arts. In addition to delving into the dramatic arts with the students of Two Rivers, Suzanne works with The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as a member of the Educational Research Team assisting with the evaluation of 23 local and national education programs including Changing Education Through the Arts (CETA). In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys reading; walking with her puppy, Nubbin; spoiling her nieces and nephew; and keeping in touch with her former students (now adults)- many of whom are pursuing performance, production, and arts education careers of their own.
