Stanley is a native Washingtonian, earning his Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College, a Master’s degree from Catholic University of America, and an Advanced Certificate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. His entire career has been rooted in education, beginning with ten years as a classroom science teacher, followed by ten years as State Educational Technology Director for the District of Columbia Public Schools. He most recently completed seven years as the Upper School Educational Technology Specialist at an independent school in the region. He considers joining Two Rivers a full-circle moment, as his mother was an award-winning biology teacher next door at Spingarn Senior High School, where he spent countless hours as a child exploring in her lab and greenhouse. In his free time, Stanley and his wife enjoy nature, photography, and travel.
