Born and raised in Washington, DC, Mary is proud to serve the community that has always been home. She earned her undergraduate degree in Human Development from the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) and her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Education Policy and Leadership, from Trinity Washington University.
With nearly nine years of experience in Special Education, Mary has dedicated her career to supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping schools create inclusive, supportive environments where every student can thrive. She has worked in DC Public Charter Schools and brings a strong commitment to student-centered practices, collaboration, and ensuring that students receive the support and opportunities they need to be successful.
Outside of education, Mary enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her amazing dog. She values opportunities to explore new places, learn new things, and make meaningful memories with the people and pets she loves.
