Dean of Students | Middle School
6th, 7th, 8th

(He/Him) My journey from being a High School Social Studies Teacher to a Middle School Dean of Students has been amazing! I am deeply passionate about education and helping students reach their full potential. My decision to pursue a master’s degree in Educational Administration showed my commitment to advancing in my career and taking on leadership roles.

Working closely with the Director of Climate and Culture during my practicum at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School provided me with valuable insights into school management and student support systems. As an undergraduate admissions counselor at Virginia Union University I was extremely dedication to guiding students through the college admissions process and helping them achieve their educational goals.

I followed up by becoming a Dean of Students at BASIS DC which was a true passion for me. My goal as an educational leader is to help continue a positive impact on students’ lives at Two Rivers Middle School. My long term goal is driven into becoming an Undergraduate/Graduate College Professor to help students reflect on there true meaning to live as well standing citizen.

Throughout my career my diverse experiences in teaching, admissions counseling, and school administration have equipped me with a well-rounded skills set to excel hereat Two Rivers Middle School.

Academically, I am interested in writing, specifically poems and raps. Outside of school, I am deeply into drawing, art, music, and spending numerous amounts of time going to the local studios in Maryland and Washington DC to record educational mixtapes for my former students. In the field of Education I would like my career to revolve around influencing and diverse learning, which I fondly call “the art of words”, I believe in the power of words to induce change personally and globally. The capacity of words to make someone happy or sad has impressed me so much.

I dedicate myself to providing help to students as well as to professionals who are having a difficult time in their classes. I provide efficient lessons and exercises that help students develop their diverse learning skills or even discover their hidden talents in all areas of learning. It is my vision for all people to once again appreciate the art of diverse learning. With the rapid development of technology, young people are losing this skill. It is my mission to help students slow down and truly articulate what they are trying to say.
