Evette Knight-Gibbs

Assistant Teacher | 4th Street ES
PK

Evette was born and raised in Washington D.C., and is the second of three children. She attended D.C. public schools and has been teaching in the D.C. area for 23 years. Evette’s first teaching experience was at Easter Seal for Disabled Children where she worked for 6 years. From there, she received her CDA and began working in child development centers.

Teaching has always been Evette’s passion. She has three children – a son and daughter who attend Two Rivers, and a daughter in collage. Evette received her associate’s degree in Art and Education in 2010 from UDC and plans to go back to school to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development. I’ve start working for D.C. public charter schools in 2002 and have been working in charter schools in the D.C. area for 11 years.

In her spare time, Evette loves spending time with family and friends; listening to music (oldies but goodies); and watching movies. Evette is very excited to be part of the Two Rivers family, and is also very eager to learn from her colleagues and new students.
