(she/her) Essence is from Washington, D.C., and graduated from Washington Leadership Academy, a fully computer-based science school. She is also the co-author of Finding My Mambo. Essence has been working with children since seventh grade, tutoring third and fourth graders. She loves reading and exploring new places.
