Elaine’s two greatest passions are learning and teaching. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development from Cornell University and has a Master’s in Human Development and Education from The Harvard Graduate School of Education. Elaine started her teaching journey in Washington Heights, NYC at PS 152 and then continued her passion for project-based learning and equity as a founding teacher at Two Rivers. After teaching for 6 years at Two Rivers, Elaine transitioned to coaching and leadership roles as the school expanded. She served as the principal at the Middle School from 2013-2016 and is currently the Director of Literacy for Grades 3-8. When she’s not coaching teachers or planning and leading professional development, you can find Elaine cuddling with her two kids and sometimes belting out Disney ballads in the shower or at a Karaoke party. Elaine is thrilled to be part of the vibrant learning community that is Two Rivers!
