Dilenia Dilone Abreu

Dilenia was born and raised in Jarabacoa, a small town in the north of Dominican Republic. She graduated from the Fernando Arturo de Meriño in 2006 with a major in Elementary Education. She began her teacher career in 2001 at Manuel Ubaldo Gomez Elementary School where she taught Spanish and Social Science from Preschool to 8th grade. In 2004, she was also working at Belarminio Ramirez Elementary school where she was the Pre­Kindergarten Lead Teacher. In 2007, she moved back to Manuel Ubaldo Gomez to become the elementary school coordinator. In 2010, Dilenia decided to move with her family to the United States and relocated in Washington, DC. After relocating to Washington, DC she joined the Innis aftercare program at Two Rivers where she was the Spanish Teacher. Then, in March 2011 she began to work at US Kids Combined Federal Agencies Child Development Center where she became the preschool classroom lead teacher. After having a great experience at US Kids, in August 2016 Dilenia decided to join the Two Rivers community to continue to develop her career as an educator.

Dilenia has three children, her son Esteban graduated from Two Rivers in 2014 and her two daughters are also attending Two Rivers Esther (5th grade) and Esteysi (3rd grade).

In her free time, Dilenia enjoys spending time with her family.
