David Treska

Special Education Teacher | Middle School
6th

(He/Him) David was inspired to begin teaching when told, “You can be as creative as you want.” David’s creativity has been manifested in STEM and math. Last year, students at the international Schools Group campus in Jubail used their trigonometric skills to determine water bottle rocket heights. The class videoed each rocket launch and used leg ‘b’ (the ground) and angle ‘a’ to find the rocket’s height. Activities such as this one are why teaching is a passion.

David’s formal teaching began in Tokyo and has now taken place in seven different countries. Along the way, learning has been extended not only as an educator but also as a student. David has a BA from Worcester State University, an MA from the University of Massachusetts, a teaching certificate from Rio Salado, and is presently working on an applied math degree at the University of Southern New Hampshire.
