Cody was born in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. Cody’s goal was to be a computer systems engineer and in the beginning he never thought about being a teacher. Nevertheless, one day in October of 1995, a friend of the family, who was a teacher, had a car accident and needed Cody’s aid to replace him for two weeks as a substitute teacher; there began Cody’s educational work. Cody found himself without economic resources to begin his university education. With faith and a very positive attitude his mother helped him to find borrowed money for the first semester of the education program offered by the Technological University of Cibao (UTECI). Working 16 hours daily, Cody went to classes on Saturdays.

Cody worked for two years and six months as a principal – with students from 1st to 5th grade at El Higo, Manabao. In September of 1999 the opportunity to take on the principal position at one of the main schools in his city, Jarabacoa, arose. With faith he obtained this position by December of the same year. Cody worked in this school for five years as principal.

In April of 2002 Cody married Elizabeth, and they now have a little baby boy, Cody Gabriel. In August of 2004 Cody began working as principal at the Doulos Discovery School. In January of 2004 Cody began work with the University Agroforestal Arturo de Meriño, in the School of Education.

During his free time, Cody loves to walk, to read, to enjoy nature, and most of all, to spend time with children. That is why every summer since 2003, he is a program director of the Baiguate Summer Camp. Cody is thrilled to return as Spanish teacher for the elementary school at Two Rivers.
