Chelsea Rivas taught kindergarten through 2nd grade as a general education teacher for nine years before transitioning to her role as a special education teacher in 2022. She is excited to continue her growth as an educator and build relationships with her 5th-graders and their families.
Chelsea was raised all over the U.S. and has always had a passion for working with children. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English and her dual master’s degrees in elementary education and special education.
When she’s not at work, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her husband, her sons, and her dog Pepper, reading, cooking, and exploring DC with friends and family.
