Chantel Ashwood (she/her) was born and raised in the big bad Motor City, also known as Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in a family of two brothers and one sister. As she grew up she decided to venture out into the world relocating to North Carolina. There she received her degree in Environmental Science at North Carolina A&T State University. During this time, Chantel developed her love and dedication to building the community and helping the environment in any way possible. Chantel is a vegetarian, who loves all animals. She is a fur mom of a french bulldog and chihuahua mixed, his name is Kato. She enjoys hiking and taking long walks with her fur baby. Chantel is also a foodie that loves trying all types of cuisines. She spends her free time developing new recipes in the kitchen with her passion for cooking. Chantel just completed her first year of teaching at Anson Middle School, and looks forward to embarking on the new journey at Two Rivers Charter, meeting the new 3rd grade scholars of the school year.
