Yet again, it is time for another year of Celebration of Learning, only this time, students are another year wiser and a grade older. The first semester Celebration of Learning for kindergarten through fifth grade will take place on Tuesday, February 3, through Thursday, February 5.
Last month, our ECE crews kicked off the momentum with their own version of Celebration of Learning. Preschool students engaged in a family expedition in which they conducted four investigations to discover the meaning of family, its different dynamics, and the similarities and differences among families. Students proudly presented their findings with a final project that included a family picture, a portrait, and a written story about their family.

“As an educator, being able to watch my preschoolers learn through hands-on investigations, retain what they have learned, and confidently present it to their families is one of the greatest joys of this work. We want our children to learn and to have fun in the process, and when that happens, it truly feels like winning the lottery for both educators and families.”
- Ms.Cheyenne, PS Teacher
The excitement from our youngest learners set the tone for what’s to come, and we’re excited to extend this experience to the rest of our community.
What to expect
Celebration of Learning captures the journey of all the hard work teachers and students invested in the learning process. When families visit their child’s classroom, they can expect to view creative presentations, student reports, art pieces, and even science experiments.
Parents will hear about the process students went through, their revisions after getting feedback, and reflections on their strengths and struggles in producing their work with pride.
“Our students have worked extremely hard on their semester/unit products, and family support will give them the amazing opportunity to shine in pursuit of excellence and achieve their goal of success.”
-Mrs. Belicia Reaves, Executive Director
More than a moment to highlight high-quality student work, the Two Rivers Celebration of Learning provides an opportunity for all members of the Two Rivers community to interact and build connections.
We welcome all Two Rivers community members, parents, and guardians to celebrate the work and dedication our exceptional students invest in their education every day.
