Back-to-School Night at Two Rivers: Why You Should Attend

by TwoRiversPCS

“We are Crew, Not Passengers” holds immense value when we reflect on Two Rivers’ philosophy of viewing families as partners. That said, it is finally Back-to-School Night season, one where families are brought into the space of setting the tone, expectations, and priorities for the year.

Please join us during the week of September 14 for Back-to-School Night.

What to expect

During the three-day event, each school leader will provide a breakdown of the DC CAPE and end-of-year data. In this data, trends in students’ proficiency and growth for the SY’25-’26 assessments are shared. Priorities will be shared for instructional practices for the current school year, including standards aligned with learning targets, data-driven differentiation, and initiatives to foster a growing school culture.

Attending Back to School Night not only directly supports your child by showing them that their education matters, but it is a chance to gain practical details and foster a trusting relationship with your child’s teacher. Come gain an understanding of your child’s teacher’s teaching style, logistics, and ask all necessary questions. It also serves as an opportunity for our families to interact and build connections with one another.

Beyond informational sessions, there will be family resources and information available to families.
