AlphaBEST

AlphaBEST’s Extended Day program fosters engaging, hands-on learning before and after school onsite at Two Rivers.

Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW)

CHAW offers a variety of in-person performing arts, visual arts, and dance classes.

Elementary School Only

Cub Scouting offers fun and adventure for boys and girls in grades K-5.

Troop 1 is open to all girls and boys, 6th through 12th grade, and has an exciting year planned, to include camping, canoe trips, and lots of other fun activities!

DC Way Soccer Camp

DC Way offers Wednesday camps at RFK Fields so that students continually progress as both soccer players and people. Students from 4ES would require their own transportation to RFK Fields.

CityKids

6th Grade Only

City Kids currently operates school year and summer programs for 130 DC youth, enrolling new youth in the sixth grade and providing program support through middle school and high school.

Brooklyn Boulders is a new climbing gym in the Eckington neighborhood that offers youth programming afterschool and on weekends.

Middle School Clubs

Queendom Come

A group for young women looking to make improvements within themselves, learning how to work together, and exploring how to problem solve issues within the group. This club promotes responsible, goal-oriented, drama-free and focused young women in society.

Enjoying the Journey

An activity-driven club that helps students craft out their future and make their journey through life a little more enjoyable. This club helps students become more aware of themselves and builds a spirit of crew as they learn how to share among each other and be understanding of one another’s thoughts and feelings.

Breathe and Flow Yoga

What are the ways I take care of myself and my needs? How do I manage my emotions when I am feeling strong feelings? Through this club students will practice meditative strategies and techniques, and find ways that breath and movement can help manage anxiety or stress. This club promotes a sense of belonging as a collective, working together to manage emotions and learn poses.

Step Club

The step team is a place to build unity and diversity. Step is a unique form of dance that allows scholars to be creative and express themselves through stepping and hand movement, while supporting the students in developing a sense of pride and leadership for our school.

Two Glee Club / Rivers Step Team

Two Glee is a Chorus Musical group singing to inspire the community to enjoy the sounds of music while engaging and connecting with each other to build a bond musically. Rivers Step Team will form a strong net group of steppers willing to perform and share their precision and discipline. The team developes power in performance and togetherness with practice.

Gaming Club

The gaming club gives students a place to build their connection and collaboartion skills while devising plans of action to compete against other individuals or teams. Like a traditional team, the gaming club is built on the spirit of crew by developing teamwork, hard work, friendly competition, and a sense of belonging.

Science Nerds

6th Grade Only

This club serves as a space for students who need extra support for STEM Fair and showcase. Students can preview their content and use the opportunity to benefit their science work in class. Students who are super excited about science can connect with like-minded peers and have a joyful space to do science.
