The entire Two Rivers Network has been ranked as Tier 1 schools! Our 4th Street campus earned the rating for the sixth consecutive year, and Young earned Tier 1 in its first year of evaluation.

Two Rivers is proud to announce that our 4th Street campus has been rated as a Tier 1 school for the sixth straight year! Two Rivers 4th Street is one of only eight DC Public Charter Schools in the entire city to have achieved Tier 1 rating status for all years since the DC Public Charter School Board (PCSB) began the rating process.

We are equally thrilled to announce that Two Rivers at Young has achieved a Tier 1 rating in its first year of evaluation.

Both Two Rivers campuses have now achieved the gold standard of evaluation from the PCSB in all years they have been scored. The announcement came this morning as part of the PCSB’s release of the 2017 results of its annual School Quality Reports.

School Quality Reports are used by PCSB to assess and monitor public charter school performance. Schools are rated as Tier 1 if they meet standards of high performance. Components of the tiering evaluation include performance on the PARCC assessment, as well as a host of other measures, metrics, and indicators which evaluate student progress and achievement in addition to overall school environment.

Two Rivers’ Chief Academic Officer Maggie Bello shared, “Two Rivers is excited that our 4th Street campus has earned the Tier 1 status from the DC PCSB for the sixth consecutive year and that our Young campus has earned the Tier 1 status in its first year of eligibility. We are proud of our commitment to combining rigorous academics with project-based learning that focuses upon the whole child. Congratulations to our students, staff, families, and community members!”
