Sasha Clayton-Schapiro
This is Sasha Clayton-Schapiro’s 13th year as a middle school counselor with Two Rivers. He loves working with middle school students, and has a strong commitment to supporting students socially, emotionally, and academically.
Sasha grew up in western Massachusetts before he moved to warmer climates. He received a bachelor’s in psychology from Swarthmore College, and a master’s in social work from The University of California at Berkeley. He loves Washington, DC, his adopted home of more than 20 years, where he has also worked as a social worker at Bread for the City and For Love of Children, two non-profit social service organizations.
Sasha lives in DC with his wife, Sara, and their baby, Joshua, who was born last year! Sasha and Sara love traveling to foreign and remote areas of the world, and before the pandemic, you could spot them in Slovenia, Central America, Morocco, Patagonia, Eastern Turkey, Southeast Asia, East Africa, and Glacier National Park. At home, Sasha likes to play with Joshua, cook, and garden.
