Patricia began her career in education as elementary school teacher. She has taught both first and fourth grades. For 11 years, she was the Executive Director of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) in Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia, where she built a program that focused on teaching children students from underserved communities how to start and run their own businesses through entrepreneurship education. She has spent the last 25 years in the field of fundraising. Her speciality is driving the expansion of funding from individuals, public and private foundations, corporations and digital supporters. Prior to her role at Two Rivers she served as the Senior Development Director for General and Mrs. Colin L. Powell at their foundation, America’s Promise. Most recently, she served as the Chief Development Officer at Malala Fund, the foundation started by Malala Yousafzai, the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, for her fight for girls’ education.

Patricia is a graduate of Loyola University, Maryland where she earned her BA. in English and Writing and an MA. in Curriculum and Instruction. She is also a graduate of University of Baltimore, where she earned an MA. in Writing and Design.

Patricia lives in Washington, DC with her husband Ken. They have two daughters, Lucia and Alessandra who currently attend Two Rivers Young Public Charter School.
