Michael McQueen

Student Support Assistant | Middle School

My name is Capt. Michael McQueen and I’m the Student Support Coordinator, here at Two Rivers. This is my eighth year in education and I’m really excited to be aboard the “BOAT” and to do my part as one of its “Crew.” I find it ironic that the school that’s welcomed me, uses the symbolism of a boat! Outside of Two Rivers, I am a United States Coast Guard Merchant Mariner (Licensed Captain). During the summer months, I spend the majority of my time with my passion. Being on the Chesapeake Bay, Potomac River, and Patuxent River as a Captain for Charter Boats. Seeing the symbolism of a boat, lets me know that I have found my home and I’m here to stay.

To start off, I would like to tell you a little more about myself both personally and professionally. I am originally from Washington DC. I went to Burrville Elementary, Friendship Edison Blow Pierce Campus, Friendship Collegiate Academy, and graduated from North Carolina A&T State University. I Love to fish, no matter the style, location, and weather. I also enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and Fraternity brothers. Special shoutout to my brothers of both, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated and Prince Hall Affiliated Free & Accepted Masons of the District of Columbia. These are the men of my life who were integral in making me the man writing you today. (Add Goal)

Moving forward, I’d also like to work closely together with you, and I believe that frequent communication is vital. If you ever need to get a hold of me, I can be reached on Two Rivers Young Campus. I arrive at 8:30 every morning and usually on site until at least 3:30pm. The phone number is 202- 388-1360 ext. S206(Room). If I am not available please be sure to leave a message with your name, number, and scholar you are calling in regards to. I will return your call as fast as I possible. If you would like to send me notes via email, my school email address is [email protected]. I will return emails throughout the course of the day. Please keep in mind that my position requires me to be in many departments at once. I will get to you with as little delay as possible. I am looking forward to having a wonderful school year with both you and your scholar.

Tight Lines!
