Ericka E.S. Nelson obtained her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Washington University and subsequently became a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC-DC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Board Certified Telemental Health Counselor (BC-TMH).

Counselors are comparable to GPS systems in that they are there to assist individuals in orientating their map. They are there to help individuals assess the paths taken and guide them towards their desired destination. What sparked Ericka’s interest in this field was the challenge to help others in sharpening their tools to support them on their journey.

Over the past 8 years Ericka has been able to engage in counseling services with a variety of populations in various capacities across the DC Metropolitan area. She has found much enjoyment in working with young people and looks to continue to being a part of the foundation of their development by helping them to discover their tools and learning how to properly use them.
