Danielle Hutcherson-Blount

Dr. Danielle Hutcherson-Blount has served as an educational facilitator and administrator for well over 20 years in various aspects of education. A native of New Jersey, Danielle attended Virginia State University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and a Master of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. She then matriculated to George Mason University where she received her second masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Throughout her career, she has had numerous teaching and school based leadership opportunities that assisted with the professional development of other educators in order to cultivate a positive, collaborative, and diverse school culture and climate for both staff and students. Danielle has served in the role as a Middle School Social Studies and Language Arts instructor, assistant principal of three public school districts in Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, and most recently, principal of Anson Middle School, located in Wadesboro, NC. Prior to working in education, Danielle worked for the Department of Energy, in addition to several non-profit organizations in Washington, DC and surrounding areas.
Danielle is a life-long learner; she enjoys being a student equally as much as a teacher. Her most recent academic accomplishment is completing her doctoral program in Educational Leadership from Wingate University. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, Zumba, spending time with her family, and collaborating with those in her community. One of her favor pastimes is supporting children in not merely knowing their value, but understanding how to invest it to put their mark on this great big world. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Dr.Danielle continues to support and serve her community through various community based programs.
