Courtney has lived in Washington, DC since moving here in 2012, and absolutely loves the city! Courtney graduated from the University of Rochester in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in History, and stayed for another year to earn a Master’s degree in Social Studies and Special Education. Courtney began her teaching career here in DC at the Kingsbury Day School, where she was a special education teacher from 2012 until 2019. She also served as a Special Education Coordinator from 2017 to 2019 at Kingsbury. Courtney is excited to join the Two Rivers community and loves inquiry-based based learning. When she’s not at school, Courtney loves reading, letting her two spoiled cats run her life, and cooking for friends.
