Caroline (she/her) is a DMV native and so excited to be part of the Two Rivers Crew! After majoring in Anthropology at Kenyon College, Caroline took a circuitous route to education. She worked on a 16th-century archeology site in western NC, then on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign in Youngstown, OH, and finally at a non-profit in DC where she learned that she cannot sit at a desk all day! She decided to pursue teaching and became a Reading Interventionist with AmeriCorps before transitioning to the classroom where she has taught elementary grades in DC for four years. Recently, Caroline obtained a Masters in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education. Through her eclectic experiences, Caroline hopes to inspire the values of curiosity, tenacity, and empathy in her students.

Caroline dedicates much of her free time to biking the Anacostia River Trail, becoming a swimming hole connoisseur, thinking about her next meal, and getting fired up about DC bike infrastructure. If you see her biking to work, make sure to wave hello!
