Ben Jacobs earned his B.S. in Social Work from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, M.Ed. in Special Education and M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Lesley University. In his 8 years as a DC educator, Ben has worked as an elementary classroom teacher and as a special education teacher. Currently, Ben holds a licensure in Early Childhood Education and Non-Categorical Special Education. Ben is also a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. One of his favorite aspects of teaching is collaborating with fellow teachers and administrators to ensure students receive the best instruction. When Ben is not hard at work he is likely walking or playing with his dog, Teddy.
