Ariel is a native of Washington DC. Here she and attended both public and public charter schools for grades K-12. She pursued her Bachelor of Arts degree at The Shaw University, where she studied Political Science and Criminal Justice and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Ariel obtained her Master’s at American University, studied Justice, Law and Criminology and graduated in 2017. Upon graduating, she served as a Program Coordinator for a non-profit and helped develop their Education Talent Search program. While working at the non-profit, she knew that she wanted to do more to help the youth and her community.

She became a substitute teacher and realized her love and passion for educating and positively impacting the lives of youth. Outside of school, Ariel enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to music, eating, and binge watching all of her favorite shows. She is excited to be a part of the Two Rivers family!
