8th

Ama was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended and graduated from Hampton University with a Bachelors of Sociology in 2003 and a Masters of Special Education in 2008. She has two sons, Benjamin and Aiden, who both attend Two Rivers.

She has been a classroom teacher since 2003. Prior to joining Two Rivers, Ama taught students with Autism and Emotional Disabilities in both public and non public school settings, and served as a Special Education Coordinator for a non public school.

During her free time Ama enjoys cooking, traveling, outdoor adventures, trying new restaurants, anything related to the water, and trekking the DC area. Her most favorite thing about working at Two Rivers is the school culture and building relationships with students because it allows them to know their academic selves.
